 reports, 1d 14h agoDaily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I see no further problems
I'm pretty new to digital painting, but
I think you should try using bolder contrast in color so you can define the shape better. I used to color really soft like that, so try to expand the color range.
You shouldn't rely too much on the blur tool, it's good for blending, but on everything else it just makes it blurry, use those brush strokes!
In all though, I like how the face is flowy, because most of the time I see people not use the blur tool at all and come up with a blocky picture.
